Some Thing Nothing

Television static contains radiation from the Big Bang and can be seen as a symbol for the universe we live in. Contrasting with this is a video exploring the personal search for meaning in life; the flashes of inspiration; the brief moments of clarity and of mystery and the danger.

This work is about questioning your place in the universe and how 'real' your attempt at finding a meaning to your existence can be. Do I have to create meaning out of a meaningless existence to give myself a purpose in life?

Memory Tapes


Memory Tapes looks at the way in which film and television mimics the process of memory with it's montage of images. A Seizure of Memories journeys through a landscape of memories, looking at the idea of questioning whether you'd want to keep or destroy certain memories. The footage in the video is taken out of it's original context and given the opportunity to be interpreted in different ways.
